Meg Cappel is a former advertising executive turned children’s author and mother of three kids under five. Inspired by a bedtime conversation with her daughter, she wrote her first children’s book based on her hometown’s Murphysboro Apple Festival. Her debut title, rooted in family, community and tradition, will launch in August 2026.
