Created for the Murphysboro Apple Festival's 75th year, Tell Me About YOUR Apple Festival features 25 interviews with the people who built, led, performed in and grew up with this beloved Southern Illinois tradition.

The series weaves together firsthand memories, historical footage and “Appletime, Sweet Appletime,” written by Murphysboro native Thomas Tierney in 1974, with a new arrangement by Ken Carr and vocals by Jessica White. All three musicians are featured in the interview series.

Every summer, lawn chairs begin appearing along Walnut Street—weeks before the Murphysboro Apple Festival Parade. To outsiders, it may seem unusual. To generations of Murphysboro families, it's a tradition that represents something much bigger than saving a seat.
